Common Uses

This copper-red viscous oil has a soft, rich, deep, sweet, balsamic, precious woods (cedarwood, guiacawood, sandalwood complex) bouquet with a delicate mossy, leathery, creamy undertone. It has been used for its anti-bacterial properties to treat cuts and sores and is also used for calming, grounding and assisting in meditation. Scientific research in Australia has been investigating its natural termite repellent properties over the last 10 years as well as its anti-bacterial properties.

In natural perfumery work it can be used as a general fixative and blends well with other woody and floral scents like Emerald Cypress, Honey Myrtle, Lemon Myrtle and Sandalwood.
