Common Uses
Sunflower Seed Oil is a calming, noncomedogenic, emollient oil high in oleic and linoleic acids. It is deeply nourishing, being high in antioxidants, lecithin, unsaturated fatty acids and is a great source of Vitamin E compared to other butters and oils. It also contains appreciable amounts of vitamin A, C and D as well as carotenoids and waxes which form a protective barrier on the skin. It is light, non-greasy and readily absorbed into the skin, making it great for skin care products and massage oils. It has been found to help with various skin conditions including acne, eczema, inflammation and general redness and irritation. Its nourishing, protective and regenerative properties make it a wonderful choice for dry, damaged or mature skin.
