Most Fir essential oils are primarily monoterpenes. They are antiseptic, excellent for respiratory complaints, pulmonary antiseptics, and anti-viral. Use for muscular aches and pains, and rheumatism. They are generally strengthening, and stimulating. Emotionally they are opening, elevating, grounding, and balancing.
Douglas Fir contains the aldehyde citral, making this oil anti-inflammatory.
